André Rieu, Auckland CBD, 22 October 2010
In October 2009, André Rieu visited Auckland with a jubilant '30th Anniversary Tour' concert at Vector Arena. Celebrating 30 years of performing, Rieu, his soloists and The Johann Strauss Orchestra wowed with a collection of songs including waltzes by Frans Lehár and Johann Strauss, the Spanish 'España Cani' and a traditional Dutch 'Klompendans' (clog dance). The biggest surprise for Rieu fans came when the concert was finished and the announcement of a 2010 New Zealand concert was made.

Early last year audiences across Australia and New Zealand were privileged to experience the incomparable live talents of Leonard Cohen. Rapturous reviews followed, with many critics calling the shows the best they have ever seen. The tour went on to win the Helpmann Award for the Best International Concert in 2009. Those lucky enough to be in attendance at the concerts described them in glowing and effusive terms, earning the envy of those who had missed out on what many speculated would be the last opportunity to see Leonard Cohen on our shores.

Bon Jovi Concert
Rock's global icons, Bon Jovi, return to New Zealand in December with two gigantic stadium shows as part of The Circle world tour. Bon Jovi will play Auckland's Mt Smart Stadium on December 5. Tickets will go on sale on Thursday 8 July. The Circle tour will see the band spend much of the next two years on the road, performing a staggering 135 shows in 30 countries. This brand new stadium stage production coming to New Zealand is one of the biggest sets ever to be seen in this country. Powered by 800,000 watts of sound and containing close to 10,000 pounds of high definition video technology, it will blow fans away!
